We are seeking a highly experienced software engineer who would enjoy working on diverse and challenging projects. We seek individuals who have high creativity balanced with strong technical fundamental skills. This is a leadership position and the individual in this role is expected to provide project level management for a small engineering team. We are engaged in all phases of product development from ideation to conceptual design through end product realization and full life cycle support. Besides products we create for our clients, IPS also is creating its own software products and solutions.

Requirements:

BS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science is an absolute required minimum with Master of Science preferred. This is a senior level position (min. 10 years experience). We seek someone with experience in some or all of the following:

- Embedded processor designs with experience using ARM (Xscale, TI, Samsung) and x86 architectures   and operating under the WinCE and Windows Mobile OS.

- Experience with Microsoft development and debugging tools including Platform Builder, Visual Studio,   etc.

- Skills in C programming language with Microsoft .NET and .Net Compact Framework, C, C++, etc. being   critical. Experience in microprocessor development environments and skillful in debugging techniques.

- Previous experience with both wireless integration (802.11 and Bluetooth) and hardwire (USB and   Ethernet) communication and networking protocols is a plus.

- Working knowledge of Security protocols; WEP, WPA2, CCX, etc.

- Experience with WIN32, API, DLL and Visual Studio development

- Ability to create and modify device drivers for Windows CE and Mobile OS systems

The ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams as well as exposure to all phases of the product development lifecycle and the ability to clearly translate from customer requirements to code is required. We seek high-energy individuals who are self-directed and take responsibility satisfying customers who expect on time and budget delivery meeting or exceeding requirements. Leadership experience is required as an engineer in this position may need to direct the work of other, less experienced engineers. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required as this position will require frequent contact with our clients on a technical and business level.
